Dr. Muhittin GORMUS has MSc degree from the Selcuk University in 1986 and PhD degree from the Hull University supervised by Dr. Martin Brasier in United Kingdom in 1990. He worked in the Akdeniz and Suleyman Demirel Universities from 1991 to 2012, and has been working in the Ankara University since 2012 as a teaching staff-member and researcher. He has organised national and international symposiums, workshops, i.e. 4th EMMM, 15. and 16. PCG, and edited an electronic journal SDUGEO between 2009 and 2012 when he was the head of geological department in SDU.

Research interests: He is a general geologist, micropaleontologists, stratigrapher and specialist on late Cretaceous benthic foraminifera and microborings. He has research articles and presentations over one hundred and translated the Sedimantology book by Boggs into Turkish and edited some proceedings of national and international symposiums. He has carried out his studies in various localities of Turkey and Iraq.

Dr. Angel G Polanco Rodríguez

Regional Research Center from Autonomous University of Yucatan

Mexico

Dr. Angel G Polanco Rodríguez currently is a researcher at Regional Research Center from Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico, Department of Social Medicine and Public Health. He is Bromatologist Chemical and completed his Master's Degree in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources by Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico, and Erasmus Mundus PhD in Marine and Coastal Management, on Water Pollution, at University of Cadiz, Spain. In addition, he have international certification on Geographical Information System (GIS), & Information Technologies. Form part of several committees of health, environment, climate change, and GIS. He have international publications in indexed journals & Books on water pollution by emergent pollutants, their bioaccumulation in blood in women with cancer, and in breast milk, as well as works of qualitative research on risk perception about the point of view of communities related to the pollution process and environmental impact by emergent pollutants of high concern in the world. He have international research collaborations with diverse universities, Research Centers and International Organizations like Mexico, Spain, Africa, India, USA, Italy, Sweden, Cyprus and UNESCO. In the other hand he is reviewer of diverse indexed journals and member of the Editorial Board. Currently continues the development of research on environment impact to the public health from a multidisciplinary point of view. On the other hand, it actively participates in projects developing and the training of pre and postgraduate students. Currently, he is open for research collaborations, consultant, and public policies design. He is also president of the Foundation for the Environment, Health and Social Development in Mayan Communities of Yucatan, Mexico.

Slobodan P. Simonović

University of Western Ontario

Canada

Director of Engineering Studies, Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction - ICLR
Professor Emeritus, Facility for Intelligent Decision Support - FIDS , Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada.
Chairperson, Ad Hoc Committee, International Conference on Flood Managment - ICFM.

From the nomination for the Felowship of the Royal Society of Canada: "Slobodan P. Simonović is universally acknowledged as one of the world’s leading authorities on application of Systems Analysis to water and environmental management. Joan García

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya

Spain

Joan Garcia (1966) is Full Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Joan obtained his degree in Biology in 1990 at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and in 1991 started to work as Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering at UPC. Joan presented his PhD on wastewater treatment engineering in 1996 at the UB, while at the same teaching at the Civil Engineering School of the UPC. He has been a postdoc research visitor at University of California at Berkeley (2001), and University of Ghent, Belgium (2005). For his contributions to water resources research and wastewater engineering Joan received in 2008 an award of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation for the Intensification of Research Activity. In 2018, Joan was awarded with a Fulbright Comission mobility grant to develop a research stay in the Everglades Wetland Research Center, Florida Gulf Coast University, Naples, Florida, US. He has written over 250 articles in scientific as well as technical journals and proceedings. H = 46.
Joan carries out interdisciplinary research on the development and improvement of environmental technologies that mimicking nature and maximizing eco-efficiency allow treatment of wastewaters and other kinds of wastes. In particular research is currently conducted on systems for wastewater treatment and at the same time materials and energy recovery, like constructed wetlands and microalgae photobioreactors.
